Introducing Full Gospel Mission

In 1959 the young German missionary, Werner Knorr landed in Calabar and moved inland to Uyo, in the then Cross River State, Nigeria where he settled to begin his missionary career. No sooner had he began to explore the land than he discovered that the place was already so saturated with churches. Like Apostle Paul who desired to preach the gospel on virgin land, the young missionary shortly after began sensing God urging him to move on into the neighboring nation of Cameroon. This proved to be God’s leading and so in 1961 he got on another boat and headed for Cameroon. From Calabar through the creeks of Ikang young Knorr arrived Idenau and travelled inland to Victoria and finally settled in Mutengene where he began a Missionary work which has come to be known as the Full Gospel Mission in Cameroon.
